The Cruel Prince By Holly Black

THE CRUEL PRINCE
If there is one thing I regret about this book - it is because I was so late to discover it sooner. I love the whole story and the characters! This book has a good potential for a movie or series!

Summary From The Book:

Jude was seven when her parents were murdered and she and her two sisters were stolen away to live in the treacherous High Court of Faerie. Ten years later, Jude wants nothing more than to belong there - but many of the fey despise humans. Especially Prince Cardan, the youngest and wickedest son of the High King.

To win a place at the Court, Jude must defy him - and face the consequences.

My Thoughts:

Reading the story's summary, I was expecting the book to be like Beauty and The Beast wherein a sweet girl will melt the Prince's heart. Truly, I did not expected the personality of the heroine.

The book's point of view is focused on the heroine, Jude. Even though there are a lot of characters being introduced, the main ones are easy to remember.

The front cover is what intrigued me to buy it. There is something about the cover that it is like a dark fairy tale that makes me want to read it.

Hmmm...in this story I am not sure who would be my favorite character. I mean, there are a lot that I hate but I am not 100% sure if I like Jude. She reminds me of someone that could be a player in Game of Thrones. Like Cersei or Daenerys. LOL. Still, I like her but so far I do not have a favorite character yet, let us see to the succeeding books.

The scene that I love the most is when Jude learned about Cardan's deepest secret. I was not expecting that.

The tile is fit for the story, The Cruel Prince - but who is the real Cruel Prince? That is for you to find out!

My Favorite Line/s:

"Instead of being afraid, I could become something to fear."

Rating: 5/5 because the story is one of a kind and no dragging parts at all!

Recommendation: To those who loves plot twists or people who liked Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings.
